A lightweight iron can be easier to handle, especially when filled to the maximum with water. This is considered light when compared to some Rowenta irons that go up to 4 lbs. I turned it on and it got really hot, but never steamed. Lightweight The Shark Lightweight Professional Steam Iron weighs less than 3 lbs which is similar to the Black & Decker Professional Steam Iron. I would never recommend this product to anyone. Do not waste your time buying this steamer. It took me about weeks of trying to contact them about the issues I was having, and then I had to speak to several managers to finally get my refund. I ended up returning my to the company, which was a huge hassle. Also, it got too hot to touch, and I couldn't even hold the handle of it because it was so hot. I kept turning it off and would try later, but it never worked. The water started leaking out of it instead. It got really hot, but no steam would come out of it or anything. When I finally got it turned on to start steaming, it didn't even work.

I thought this was going to be a really cool garment steamer, but I was wrong.
SHARK PROFESSIONAL STEAM IRON UPGRADE
It was a definite upgrade to what I was using, but I would not spend a ton of money on this because I think you can get similar quality for less money.įalse Summarize this product in one sentence.I bought this item a year ago from the Euro-pro company, and it sucks. The tapered needle tip is great for getting into tight places, it can produce steam like a steamer, it can get super hot and has a good weight to it. It has all the features to make ironing easier and quicker.

I acquired mine when a friend moved out of the country. The Shark Ultimate Professional GI505 iron is the best Shark iron you can buy in my opinion in 2020. Never use or rest iron on an unstable surface. Use caution when you turn a steam iron upside down there may be hot water in the reservoir. Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water or steam. I would not spend too much money on it though. Do not leave iron unattended while connected or on an ironing board. This isn't professional grade, but it's good for the home and every day use. Able to smooth out wrinkles effortlessly. It's not strong enough to iron two sides at once, but it does a good job and is pretty quick to use all considering. The Shark Lightweight Professional Steam iron keeps all of your fabrics looking professionally pressed. When it comes to t-shirts and jeans this is a great iron. It's a bit frustrating and definitely makes me feel like time not well spent. It leaves me wondering what I spent all that time on if I am just left with wrinkles anyway. I have similar problems with dress pants. When I go to put all the shirts away I suddenly see multiple wrinkles on areas that I concentrated extra on. I then hang the shirt up and move on to the next one.

When using this iron I often have to go over areas several times until I am satisfied that I got most of the wrinkles out. I am not a wrinkle freak and expect it to be perfect, but if I'm putting an hour of my time in to doing this I expect good results. The biggest item of clothing I struggle with getting wrinkles out of is my husband's work shirts. Half of the time it does a good job and the other half of the time I am left wondering why I even bothered. It is overall pretty easy to handle and comes with multiple settings for different fabrics. It's not too bulky though that it gets in the way of use.
